The House will vote Wednesday on the two articles of impeachment approved last week by the House Judiciary panel, the Associated Press is reporting.

The vote in the Democratic-led House of Representatives is expected to result in President Donald Trump’s impeachment, on one count of abuse of power and one count of obstruction of Congress. The Senate, however, is expected to acquit Trump in its trial.

The House Judiciary Committee released a 650-page report detailing the rationale for what it called Trump’s “betrayal” of America, which include pressuring Ukrainian officials to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, a current political rival in the upcoming 2020 election. The report also ties the Trump administration’s decision to withhold millions in military aid, which Ukraine has relied on in its ongoing war with Russia, to the White House’s push for Ukrainian officials to scrutinize Biden. Trump, by refusing to cooperate with the House impeachment inquiry, violated the Constitution’s system of checks and balances, according to the report.

Members of the House Rules Committee will meet Tuesday to set the parameters for the Wednesday vote on Trump’s impeachment after reviewing the Judiciary Committee’s report, which was sent to them Monday.
