Have you heard that Instagram is getting rid of likes? Regardless of whether or not you “like” that news, experts say that this will probably have a positive impact on the mental health of its users. But at what cost? Have they thought of the downsides? It’s undeniable that this change will shake society to its core, cause families to rupture, turn friends into enemies, and begin an endless war that we’ll all have to participate in, even if we don’t have Instagram. I don’t mean to scaremonger—I just want to make sure people hear both sides of the issue.
Now that you’re well informed, I hope that you spend the last few days of the year cherishing the Instagram we all know and love before the like counts are removed from the app and the world as we know it disappears, replaced by utter chaos and destruction. While we were doing that in the office here, we moseyed on over to our cartoon Instagram account and decided to put together a list of all the cartoons, ranked by how many likes they got on Instagram. In the future, or the Dark Ages, as they will be known, lists like this one will be the only way in which you can get information on how many likes things got. Get used to it!
